an HONEST FILM CO production

SisaPhusha | We keep moving

Campaign line: You inherited the legacy. Now multiply it.

The brief asks for a film that is present-tense, proud, and alive. Not a commemoration. Not a history lesson. A declaration of where South Africa is right now and who is carrying it forward. Our interpretation of that brief is SisaPhusha. We keep moving.

The Heroes

We're making a film about people who push.

SisaPhusha is a 90-second film marking 30 years of the South African Constitution. It's not a history lesson. It's about South Africans living the promise that was made to them, right now, in their own communities, in their own way.

We're looking for real people. Not actors. Not influencers. People with something genuine to show up for.

This is a Honest Film Co. production for a national campaign.

What this actually is

This isn't an ad with a script you perform. It's a film built around what you already do.

A teacher in a classroom that doesn't have enough. A farmer turning a small patch of land into something that feeds people. A surfer alone in the water before sunrise. A coach who sees something in a kid before they see it themselves. A musician working it out alone in a room until something real comes out.

These are the kinds of people we're imagining. We haven't found everyone yet. The people in this film could be you, or someone close to who we've described, living it slightly differently. That's fine. We're not looking for a perfect match. We're looking for someone real.

We follow you doing the thing you already do. We don't ask you to perform pride. We ask you to keep going while we're there.

Who we're looking for

You don't need a following. You don't need media training. You need to be doing something real, in your own community, that you'd be doing whether or not a camera showed up.

We're looking for people connected to:

  • Education

  • Land, farming, food

  • Sport and coaching

  • Music and artistic expression

  • Freedom of movement, the ocean, and belonging

If that's not quite you but you know someone it is, send them our way. A good part of this film will be found through people like you.

What it involves

A day or two on location with our crew, filming you in your real environment, in available light, with as little disruption to your actual life as possible. No green screen, no studio, no script to memorise.

You'll be part of a film and a campaign that runs across the year, including your own short portrait piece. Everyone we cast is paid for their time, with the details confirmed directly once we're in conversation.

Get involved

If this sounds like something you'd want to be a part of, get in touch and we'll tell you more about the story and how we see it coming together.

Production begins on 6 July, filming mainly in Durban, Johannesburg, and Cape Town.

We'd love to have you on board. Let's speak.
